Improve the air you breathe
Good health isn't just a matter of what you put into your body; it's also a matter of what you keep out of it. Every breath brings contaminants into your body. Some are things we bring into our own living environments, like particles from household cleaning products, beauty and personal care products, animal dander from our pets, smoke from tobacco and fireplaces. Nature adds a few things too: pollen, plant spores, household dust, mold, and bacteria.
Our bodies have elaborate filtering mechanisms to help us. A lot of what we breathe in is breathed right out again, or eliminated through other body processes. But, we overload our body's ability to filter out these unwanted intruders, especially now that we've sealed and insulated our homes and buildings to maintain a comfortable temperature year-round.
NSA offers air filter replacement filters for its line of various air filter units that remove many of these contaminants from the air before we breathe them in. NSA filters fill the gap between the smaller, cheaper units on the market today and large, expensive air treatment systems that supply virtually contaminant-free air.
These filters really work. A state- funded independent study of 90 children aged 4-14 who had perennial allergic rhinitis (43 of whom had asthma) found that, in the first 4 months of using an NSA Model 1200 Air Filter, an overall improvement was seen in 85% of the children. After 12 months:
- 98% of the children experienced improvement in quality in sleep (less snoring or mouth breathing)
- Most experienced improvement in allergic symptoms like sneezing (80%), scratchy throat (75%), wheezing (70%), and nasal congestion (70%).
- Parents noted a 72% reduction in work days missed, a 43% decrease in school days missed; a 63% in clinic visits due to allergy related problems; a 49% reduction in emergency room visits; and a 76% reduction in over-the-counter drugs purchased and a 43% reduction in prescription drugs.
You'll want to consider NSA air filter replacements if you are concerned about the air you breathe.
